Missing Control 107
At the start of the event, we discovered that the marker at 107 had been
removed, leaving only the cane and SI box, hidden in the snow. Five people (four
on Yellow and Louise Adams on Orange) were adversely affected by this, before we
replaced the marker. We are extremely disappointed this happened, especially as
those affected were all Juniors, who are likely to lack the confidence to carry
on - although we are delighted that all five finished successfully and
congratulate them on their initiative. Other than re-instating all concerned,
which we have done, with an estimated time at the control, we have left the
Results as they stand. It's difficult to estimate time lost by the runners (it
looks to vary between 0 and 5 minutes, from studying the Split Tmes), so
adjusting running times is not realistic. We hope they all enjoyed their day
out, nevertheless.
